Is Burlington City really any cleaner and safer than Fishtown? Certainly Fishtown has, and is a lot closer to, entertainment.

Also, OP does not want a building/complex which is what I typically see for rent in Burlington county. I've never seen a loft in South Jersey outside of the Victor in Camden and one in Trenton.

I've driven from Burlington to Fishtown area in under an hour, probably under 45 min. Doesn't seem like a bad commute for once a week.

Safer areas are also cleaner. Cleaner areas as also safer. They go hand in hand. Do you think that the safest areas of Philly are also the cleanest is just a coincidence? Center city, far Northeast.. Cleanest and safest..

I don't disagree with this. I'm just saying, while Fishtown may be dirtier and less safe than Burlington, this is balanced out by a more "happening" scene. There isn't much of anything happening in Burlington City.

Fishtown is certainly not an unsafe area Frank. The lifestyle the OP wants can only be given to her in the city, not in Burlington. Since she will only be commuting to Burlington ONCE a week, I doubt the commute will be much of a problem.

True. There is more going on in FT then in BC. No doubt

Okay. I missed the once a week thing.. Every day would be brutal, once a week is do able. I said that BC was safer then FT, thats all.

I agree. If it was a daily commute I would advise her to live in NJ or at least closer to Burlington, but since it is once a week, she wants a Loft and to be around artists and have that type of city experience with public transit, nightlife and hustle and bustle, I doubt anywhere outside of Philly will give that to her. Fishtown is a nice up and coming area and is definitely not unsafe.
