Which county in the Greater Philadelphia Area do you think is the most beautiful?

Bucks' natural beauty is rivaled only by that of the Brandywine Valley in Delaware/Chester counties in this region, IMO.

But while the county seat of Doylestown may also be the most physically attractive of the four suburban county seats, I don't think any place in this region could outrank Philly on the architectural-beauty part.

Of course, the city has acres of monotonous, not-terribly-attractive streetscapes, but the monotonously attractive ones more than make up for them.

Folks are usually stunned when they find out that Wissahickon Valley Park is in the city and minutes away from Center City.

If you consider that the Pine Barrens is mostly in Burlington County, there's an argument for Burlington, but the 130 corridor is more familiar to most people on this board, which is anything but attractive. It just depends on where your familiarity is as to how anyone would answer this question.

You can make a case for it in Bordentown/Florence area, it looks, shall we say, interesting, almost vintage. But from Burlington on down it is straight up stripmall hell. And please tell me what road like that in NJ doesn't suck.

The pine barrens is a pretty place yes. I actually think it looks so perfect it almost looks fake.

Everyone will have something different that appeals to them. I love the Main Line for its architecture and streetscapes. The Delaware River corridor along Bucks County and its adjoining side in NJ from Upper Mercer and through Hunterdon with towns like Yardley, New Hope, Lambertville, Stockton, New Milford, and Frenchtown are all gorgeous and quaint. I love the serene nature of the Pine Barrens, and it is amazing how large it is. But for serene, Cape May County is also untouchable. A whole different set of emotions and connections are evoked once you reach there, built upon years of memories, and though it’s all a madhouse during the summer, when you do have your more secluded and private moments there, it can’t be beaten.

This is a pretty good rundown.
I spent most of my years growing up right along the Delaware river so I am bias.

I think Bucks is the ‘best’ because, to me, it still feels the most untouched and the foliage always seemed denser.

According to CityLab, Rt.32 aka River Road, is the quietest ‘Highway’ in all of Pennsylvania.

There are a lot of very nice parks along the way such as Washington Crossing, Ralph Stover, and Ringing Rocks.

Ralph Stover is one of the few places to do real rock climbing outside in the area.

Since the 1890s, people have been having concerts every now and again on the Rocks.
