New job and relocation.

Office (eventually) will be on the Camden waterfront bit south of Campbell's Field & north of the Aquarium. Think this just off the I-676 Bridge "Ben Franklin Bridge?".

Strongly considering living in PA for many reasons, PA-NJ tax agreement (only pay PA tax) being the kicker. Our political assessment is this will not be going away.

What are the better "upper middle class" (I hate that term but you know what I mean) areas that are a good commute?

Good to us is maybe 30ish minutes commute under typical conditions. Budget is wide but maybe $750K target. Schools only factor for resale. Not urban, need a nice backyard, garage etc. maybe 2500-3000SF++ not including basement SF

THANKS for some initial thoughts!

Not sure you will find that in PA with 30 minute commute. Depends on work hours I suppose.

I like Yardley, too, but it's not necessarily a 30 minute commute. Right now on Google Map (I just checked) there are two areas of construction, two incidents, and an accident was just added. I noticed that they didn't increase the estimated travel time with the accident.

Hmmm - Yardly is kinda near Trenton. How does that work is it a mostly "counter-commute" kinda drive if you cross the Delaware (at Trenton) ?? May need to ask that in NJ forum.

THANKS

Yardley to Camden will not be 30 min even in normal traffic. In normal traffic you are looking at 40-45 minutes. The fact of the matter is if you want a 30 minute commute into Camden and a big house with a yard, then look in NJ. Yes, you might pay more in taxes, but that's your only realistic option. So you either do that or you extend your desired commute time.

Wallingford? Once you get over the BF Bridge, it would be a straight shoot down 95 South to 476. Probably over 30 minutes though.

If you're wanting a backyard and a 30 min commute, you should probably just move to Jersey. Don't put yourself through a hellish commute just to save a few bucks in taxes.

Either go "urban" in Philadelphia or live in jersey. Fwiw they are planning on building apartments on the waterfront which would mean no commute
