I used to live in Haverford of Lower Merion Township in Montco. We used the Haveford 19041 post office on Lancaster Ave. and that was our postal address as well for the house. We were between Ardmore and Bryn Mawr.

There was also some Township of Haverford in Delco that bordered Lower Merion and even crossed Route 30/Lancaster Ave. at one point. I remember going to a Payless shoes somewhere there one time:

Then there is an unincorported area, called Havertown, located within Haverford Township:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ha...!4d-75.3149796

But when I look up the first Haverford or 19041 above, where I used to live on google maps, it shows it as both in Lower Merion Twp. (Montco) and Haverford Twp. (Delco), with large part of Haverford Twp. missing, including Havertown:

So I guess Haverford, 19041 here I lived was just the postal area? Or is it officially a part of Lower Merion Township, like Ardmore and Bryn Mawr? What is its official designation? Village?

Is Haverford Twp. in Delco part of the Main Line, even though it is run down in areas? Or just Haverford 19041?

Thanks!

Haverford(19041) is split between Haverford Twp and Lower Merion Twp. So Google maps is correct. The same is true of Ardmore and Bryn Mawr: both are split betweenDelco and Lower Merion.

Havertown is ONLY in Haverford Twp. and completely in Delco.

And all of Haverford, Ardmore and Bryn Mawr are part of the Main Line. Havertown is not part of the Main Line.

I grew up in Haverford in the Haverford Twp part.

Agree on all counts. The only thing I'd add to this is that there is a very small part of Upper Darby Township that is a Havertown 19083 mailbox. I know because I used to live there. It's right on the other side of Route 1, from Lansdowne Avenue down to Harding Drive. After Harding, it switches over to Drexel Hill 19026.

^^ What he said. Also, there is a very small portion of 19083 that crosses into lower merion township( think near south ardmore park on the other side of haverford road), but it is so small it is probably not worth mentioning or relevant.
