I guess that it wasn't, "Get off of my lawn!"

She eventually moved to Atco and opened a small restaurant featuring pizza. I took my son there and told him everything that I knew about Sally Starr at the time. She also bought a rustic entertainment complex in Voorhees in the 1960s, but only owned it for about a year. If you're interested, look up Ole's Ranch. The foundations of the buildings were made from Philadelphia street paving stones.

I remember Gene Crane...and of course, John Facenda (sp?) What an unmistakable voice.

Does anyone remember Jim O'Brien? He was an early morning DJ on WFIL radio, then went on to become co-host of "Dialing for Dollars" on WPVI (Channel 6), and weather forecaster on "Action News".

He died tragically in 1983, in a parachute jump accident.

I remember him. Skydiving? Oh, my husband military, airborne. I jumped once. Nope. I wasn't going to do that a second time. Ahhhhh!

Yes, of course, I remember Jim O'Brien and, yes, a real tragedy.
