I've literally never seen cars smashed and just left sitting there, and I lived in South Philly for 4.5 of my 5 years in the city. I would leave my car parked in the median for days at a time and it was never clipped, nor did I ever see evidence of other cars being clipped. That's a complete exaggeration, unless something has drastically changed over the last few years, which I doubt....

Maybe weekly was an exaggeration, but I 100% see smashed cars in the median more often than you are suggesting. I'm also not surprised someone who parked in the middle would say it's safe too haha
