Is it really true that there are NO metro stops between the one 2nd Street and Spring Garden and the one at Market and 2nd? What do people do who live in Northern Liberties? Is the Metro in Spring Garden and 2nd really between the lanes of Route 95? How does one access it?

It is true that there are no Market-Frankford El (or just "El") stops between 2nd St and Spring Garden St. No Libs people would likely get off at Spring Garden or walk north from Old City, depending on where they were coming from. You can access the Spring Garden station on Spring Garden St. between 2nd and Front Sts. That's a couple blocks west of 95.

The two stations you are describing are a 1/2 mile apart and bookend Old City, not Northern Liberties. In any case, even if you lived exactly half way between both stations it would only take you 6 minutes or so to walk to one station or the other.

Northern Liberties has the Spring Garden Station at the southeast corner and the Girard Station at the northeast corner. It's not the best scenario but the neighborhood also has 3 buses that will take you to Center City and connect with the El at Market St.
