In NY we have plenty of Continuing Adult education courses at the local schools (photography, languages, etc.). Do they have such programs in Penn?

Thanks.

They are usually done through the Community Colleges as far as I know. Our local CC sends out a booklet three times a year.

Yes, believe it or not, people outside of NY have actually picked up on this sort of thing.

And they are not just limited to community colleges - there are many venues like Main Line Night School, Mt. Airy Learning Tree, Cheltenham Township Adult School, and many others.

I think lancemanion is talking about non-credit classes. As a young adult in Delaware I remember taking an adult ed class in Yoga and a friend took one in ceramics at our local High School. I was thinking recently how I had not noticed anything like that in any place I've lived in PA, outside of the Community Colleges, or maybe a special offering at our local library. Senior Citizens can usually take classes at the local senior centers.

The TUCC site I provided has both credit and non-credit courses.

Newmarlig is right about Temple's Center City campus. Now that I think about, I remember taking group piano lessons there once.

They do have courses at some of the high schools. I took a noncredit French course at Cheltenham High, and I know they had some other courses like photography too.

I guess this is a very area specific thing, so perhaps the OP might mention what area's he might want to take a class.

Thank you everyone for your responses. Most of the school districts here have extensive non-credit classes to take like photography, etc. I have searched for the same kind of thing on the Internet for Bucks and Delaware County Schools and have not found much, if anything.
