My bill for my mobile internet service has been incorrect ever since I started service.

First ...
There are no federal or state or sales tax on internet service.

Anyone else have a problem communicating with verizon?

They have been sending me texts and charging me for them
.. my internet modem has no screen or keys.
I cannot access my account on line as they TEXT my temporary password.
I tried to receive my bill through my bank but cannot read it without "signing in" to my account.
They cannot email my "password" .. but can only snail mail it.
They cannot send me a bill in any form as I had elected to have it sent to my bank.
My account does not receive a bill only the amount owed and the due date.

For a communication company .. they do not communicate well.

we have Verizon cell phones, internet and cable -- it has been a nightmare full of incorrect billing statements, over-charging and hours on the phone with their customer service. I think they have finally got it all correct now, but it took almost 10 months of phone calls to them for them to get their sh*t together. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you speaking of having a mobile broadband card, like a usb plug in card for your lap top? If so, it is given a phone number and you are using Verizon Wireless service to access the internet. If this is the case, it is taxed just like any other wireless line.

I checked with the PA Dept. of Revenue as comcast does not charge tax on internet only.
It is a PA company.

Verizon did not advertise nor sell "phone service" .. I am purchasing internet access only.
I spoke to a supervisor at verizon when I received my first bill .. who confirmed internet service is
non taxable..
HOWEVER ... please note ... purchasing goods via the internet may be taxable.

I did not contract phone service nor can I use this mifi modem as a phone.
I cannot make or take calls or text with this unit.
If I need to contact customer service .. I must use another devise, they do not use email.
Verizon will text a "password" or snail-mail it .. they do not use email.

I am including some info ..

Senate passes Internet tax moratorium extension: 7 more years tax-free

below .. from the PA sales tax and use tax .pdf booklet
http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal...=580900&mode=2

TAX EXEMPT SALES
The following sales are not subject to tax:
The services of repairing, altering, mending, pressing, fitting, dyeing,
laundering, dry cleaning, or cleaning wearing apparel including
formal wear and shoes. Alterations on formal wear, when purchased
in conjunction with the original formal wear purchase, are taxable.
The services of laundering or dry cleaning of wearing apparel or
household goods when performed by coin operated equipment.
Residential use of steam; natural, manufactured, and bottled
gas; fuel oil; electricity; basic telephone service, and subscriber
line charges.

You are one of those people who are just a royal pain to deal with.

Verizon Wireless is a wireless phone carrier. Your mifi modem has a phone number attached to it. So does everyone else in the United States that owns a mifi, netbook, or wireless card provided by Verizon Wireless. You are using wireless phone service to access the internet. It is taxable as any other wireless phone line is. Case closed.

If you feel so generous .. send me some of your unneeded income.

I purchase internet access only.

And again, you purchased it from a wireless phone carrier. Why do people like you debate topics that aren't debatable?

Please note ... I had been purchasing from a cable company and did not pay one cent over the cost of service.
