Puh-lease! It's not like a taser is like a bullet! It's a non-lethal, largely safe, and effective means of subduing someone who is resisting the police. It does not even cause serious injuries.

The guy deserved it.

Agreed. If you wanna be an idiot, it's time you face the consequences. Normally they play this crap up on sportscenter and TV and it only exacerbates the problem and gives other idiots ideas.
-squids on the ice at hockey games
-How many times do you need to hear some drunk redneck scream "you da man!" at a golf tournament before it gets old.
-Streakers running on the field at major sporting events

Harmless maybe, annoying and uncalled for definitely.

I could go on.

He wanted his 15 minutes of fame...he got it..time to move on and grow up.

On a different note, I roll my eyes every time I see the gatorade dumped on the winning football coach. I never thought that silly routine would last 20+ years.

Still, he didn't need to be tasered. Tasering was excessive.

I'm still not getting what people think is so "excessive" about tasering. It's essentially harmless, the effect wears off in minutes, and the guy was fine.
Beating him with batons or shooting him would be excessive. Tasering was a response comensurate with his actions.
