if we're tossing around standard tourist activities, don't forget to run up the stairs of the art museum and throw your fists up in the air. and pay homage to rocky and the bottom of the stairs. if you really are into history you can eat dinner at the city tavern, 2nd/walnut....that place is history in a bowl....or dish.

Here's an off-the-beaten-track historical (national registry) place to visit -
Bartram's Gardens. It's the homestead of colonial field Botanist/Explorer
John Bartram. It's a little Eden tucked behind low-rise projects right out of The Wire.

I've never eaten at Sonny's, but Campo's on Market Street between 2nd and 3rd has a good cheesesteak (albeit a shade on the small side for my liking).

sonny's on market st is a great steak. excellent place for a tourist b/c right near all the historical sites. and it's better than pat's and genos, not to mention cleaner.
