bright and sunny (yet humid) by metrocenter

acrylic - one of the neat things is when you can see the various storms in the distance .... what is really neat to me is when you can have one area get absolutely pounded and a place 5 minutes away will stay dry

It's going crazy here in Chandler! I think the worst of it is over, but we got some good, strong rain for a good 10 minutes.

There's a lot of lightning in Mesa. I'm out there with my video camera, and capturing the flashes and taking in the wonderful sound of the thunder overhead. I did catch a lightning bolt strike within at maximum a 1/4 a mile away. But in the video it show it striking across the street, the bolt the width of a pencil, but the thunder after it was awesome and very loud.

North Phoenix just got absolutely slammed. I was driving at the 101 & I17 and visibility went to 5 feet and trees started going down. Rain was completely sideways and everyone was stopped on the road. Pretty sure it's what driving through a hurricane feels like.

Surprise is getting hammered right now (actually the last hour). Wife said severe flooding on Bell, can only use the middle lane.

I'd say we got a little bit of rain, no?

The water along the fence is 3-4" deep.

I'm envious. Nothing here. Never is. LOL.

Well, on second thought we got about 10 minutes of wind, enough to make a mess of the pool.

Yes, we're in North Phoenix too near HX Guy . Lots of rain, which was great. But the wind gusts were strong enough to flip the furniture on our covered back patio and knock our 250 lb grill into the side of the house, leaving a hole in the stucco. Grrr.
