Well, this was defiantly a monsoon storm, fast and fiery. Things flying all over the neighborhood, it was garbage day, that was fun it was like driving through cones on a raceway. Street flooded to your knees, kids jumping around in it. Trees down, peoples grills in the street. ha ha Just when we are about to move. It's a send off monsoon. AW, what a thrill.

My poor landlord will be busy on this big tree for awhile. I knew that sucker was going to go down eventually. Thank goodness it didn't fall the other way, on my house.

yeah - we had nothing at metro near my office - called my wife and nothing in goodyear .... the maps showed a lot of acitivity towards the southern part of the metro so I figured I'd run surface streets to the 101

Heh - just a little bit of bedlam - that area was slammed

Does the SW Valley generally not get much monsoon activity?

Monsoon storms tend to come from the East and North. Yesterday was an exception with it coming from the South. In the winter the storms come from the West.

I've lived there for 6 years and it doesn't seem to get as much as the rest of the metro ..... although I know there have been a few massive (and fatal) dust storms .... i think the dust hits maybe a little heavier

Not sure if I have enough time under my belt to really say though ... when I was living up in the arrowhead area it seemed like we had a lot more, but I was only there for 2 seasons so again a small sample

Sun City near 99th ave and T-bird got slammed real hard. Not only flooding but a micro burst tore off hundreds of roof shingles/tiles, one duplex the roof caved in, trees and other plants uprooted, windows busted, garage doors broken, some 2x4's imbedded in siding, misc damage and a real mess.

Another heavy storm rolled in here last night around 1AM.

Cloudy day again with some dark clouds, I'm wondering if it'll rain later...?
