I believe this is actually Paradise Valley area. West of the 51 and above the mountain ranges is North Phoenix.

I lived at 7th street and Bell and was considered in Phoenix. When I lived at 15th Ave and Bell it was considered Deer Valley. Perhaps anything west of Central, but north of Greenway is actually Deer Valley.

Imo, PV has more "nice" areas than North Phoenix (though compared to Phoenix, the northern areas are pretty good).

Paradise Valley is south of Shea by a mile or two. North from Shea and east of 64th (maybe Scottsdale Rd, I'm not sure the boundary) is Phoenix.

Anthem is the North Phoenix boundary at the present.

North Phx has everything a person could need, plus some.

Sure, it's not Downtown Phx, it's not Scottsdale, it's not ghetto, it's not Vegas, it's not Florida. It's entirely Suburban and that's why so many people live in this section. I think more people than not enjoy Suburbia and the freedom to drive as they please with a little more elbow-room than the inner city.

PV's boundary is at Shea.

There is no "gray space". If you live east of 67th Ave, north of Pinnacle Peak, it's Phoenix. The Phoenix border moves to 51st Ave south of Pinnacle Peak. So if your house is east of those streets, it's Phoenix...no matter what your address is.

The easiest way to figure it out is to see who you pay your water bill to.
Dude, chill out. I could care less really. I just know it can be confusing to tell people that I live in Phoenix and then give them my address and it's Glendale. To me it's really no big deal and leave it with what my address is.

This is the same issue that the 85254 people have. I never could understand it and it was never an issue back in the day. Now people make such a big deal about it. I don't understand it. Maybe it's the difference between the natives and the newcomers?

The furthest southern boundary is Mockingbird. If you look East from Tatum and Mockingbird, you're looking at Paradise Valley. Then you can turn around and look West into Phoenix. It sort of zig zags from there - Shea is the boundary for a half-mile East of Tatum to 52nd, then it drops down to Mountain View.

I live north of greenway, and I still have a phoenix address. I think deer valley really starts at deer valley road actually, which is about a mile north of the 101.

Deer Valley is not a town or city, it's a neighborhood district (forgot what it's called). All of Deer Valley is considered N. Phoenix (or just Phoenix).

Really? I thought it was considered a town, not just the district.
