Have you applied at security companies? Or one of the major hotel/resort/spas, or casinos in the area? These places are always looking for people, plus their flexibility should work with your school schedule.

And didn't you also make a post for tattoos? Is now really the time for that if you are down to your last bit of cash?

Get off the case of selling the truck, it isn't going to happen. Period.
What kind of truck do you have? I promise I will not make any negative comments like the others as I am only curious.

I'm not saying he should sell it now, either, because of the depreciation. I just questioned the judgment of spending that much on a new vehicle when a very safe, very reliable new vehicle without perhaps so much whatever on it to make it cost that much would have made more sense. Some thousands in a savings account now, and this thread might not exist.

You don't necessarily get a better truck (or car) just by spending extra for it. More stuff to break, for one thing. But, that's over and done. It might give someone else in the future something to think about in a similar situation.

I hope the OP finds some work, lots of good suggestions here.

If you read my post correctly you would have seen that I was, and am, in favor of you keeping your truck

Go back and read it again.

Absolutely DO NOT SELL, AZDR.

You have already realized the major depreciation. From this point forward your primary expenses will be for fuel and basic maintenance.

A sturdy dependable truck is head and shoulders above a 30 plus MPG tin can.

As for the job search . . . DON'T GIVE UP, the right one is out there.

I have a job interview wednesday! Its funny, it is with the very first place I applied to when I moved back here. 2 1/2 months later I get a call. Lol. Its part time, which is exactly what I need.

I have applied to probably 8 different security companies throughout the valley. Not 1 called me back.

My truck is a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500, Cummins, 4wd. Here is a pic.

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't spend money on anything but modding my truck. It is my hobby, everybody has one. Like I said earlier, I have way too much money wrapped up in his truck to start over again some day.

Also, I can't afford to sell it. I use it for its intended purpose too much. I made side money towing people's junk. I also have a 20 ft car hauler. When I lived in Texas, I had a craigslist ad for towing. $50 flat rate, plus $1 a mile. Hell of a lot cheaper then calling a tow truck.

IMPRESSIVE TRUCK, AZDR . . . even for a Dodge.

Believe me, if you sell it, you'll be kicking yourself for years.
