Hope it works out for you with the interview. The bright side of this thread is that you got some good advice. IMO, you have a cash flow problem, nothing more. With the short period of time between now and when you start seeing tuition money, you just need to make ends meet, and chances are, you'll find a way to do it. Plus, Buckeye is an area with lower cost of living, so living there is a benefit.

The only thing I could possibly add to the ample advice you have received is, you have an asset that is worth quite a bit of money even after depreciation. That said, do not EVER borrow from anywhere that requires your truck or title as collateral. You're better off running a credit card balance for YEARS (as long as you are able to keep paying it), than using a vehicle title loan or payday loan. If you ever get in such a bad jam that you think you have to take a title loan, cut your losses FIRST, advertise the truck at a price low enough to sell it today, and you will come out ahead. I know you don't want to do it, but if you ever get in such a bad position that you consider borrowing on the truck's title, you are too far gone to recover and you need to sell now. They will make more trucks, and generally speaking, anyone flexible enough to make money in more than one way (i.e. hauling cars or doing whatever it takes to make ends meet) does not go broke. Even in a crap economy. So even if you end up having to dump it, you'll be back in a new one in a short time.

It really is a great truck. However with a truck like that, you simply MUST have a boat to tow behind it.

Haha, someday Kdog. My dad has a boat, though he is up in Minnesota, and the boat is in Wisconsin. Just like everything else that was his, is now mine. I am sure that will be mine as well one day. Out of the 3 of us "kids," I am the only one who is squared away.

Just like every other veteran so I have heard, the first 6 months out are pretty rocky. Thank god for that big storm with all the hail a couple weeks ago. My wife's truck was damaged, so insurance just paid out a good penny for it. The truck will get repaired, just not right away. This money really helps.

Her GI Bill should pay out pretty quick. She was told last week by a VA rep over the phone that she should see it on the first. Didn't see it today, she is too lazy to call, but I will make sure she gets it done tomorrow.

Mine should come though pretty quickly, I am not by any means exonerate as she is. The VA will get a call from me every day once I start school on the 15th.

Haha, thanks. Yeah she needs a bath, but tomorrow morning I am heading up to Kingman to play with a sandrail. Be back Sunday night.
