That's a pretty broad statement. I'm renting downtown and wouldn't even consider living anywhere else. I'm also currently looking to buy in an old historic downtown neighborhood.

Sorry but the 'burbs aren't for everyone. I prefer established neighborhoods with character over stucco cookie cutter snout-houses.

E. Camelback is in the Biltmore section - much more high-end

W. Camelback and I-17 isn't the best area but it's far from Ghetto. It's also cheaper than much of the East side.

I agree. My house is located in the east Camelback corridor, which is actually pretty suburban compared to the area around 24th Street & Camelback, but it's still more centrally located compared to many distant suburban areas that were once "hot spots", and now are nothing more than Foreclosurevilles.
