Those signs for LA are just a reminder to people to be thankful they live in AZ.

There seem to be a lot of people on here that complain about Phoenix, and it's not constructive criticism, it's just complaining and whining

I think the title was posted in jest pointing out to those people that Phoenix didn't make the list.

I am happy to see Arizona didn't make the cut. These lists from Forbes, however, are always some of the dumbest stuff I read. Chicago is "miserable" because of the Cubs? Jacksonville because of the Jags? C'mon, this list is total crap just like the rest of 'em. Just my lousy 2 cents.

There are a lot of complainers here for some reason.

It's too hot, too dusty, too sunny, too much stucco, bad food, no shopping, too much shopping, bad haircuts, illegal aliens, aliens--heck, aren't they all illegal even if they came from space?

If you don't like it here, figure out a way to move and get on with your life.

Yeah, one might think it's because there's a lot to complain about. Strike that thought.

In my experience and I have been here a long, long time, it is remarkably rare to hear people complain in "real life". This forum is very unusual in that regard. In fact, it amazes me how positive people are. Most of the people I know look at you like you are nuts if you bad-mouth life in the Phoenix area. Now most of the people I run into are professional types who make a good living or retirees from some snowbound place. Jobless and/or lower income people would probably not be so positive. A place will always seem nicer if one has the means to enjoy what it offers.
