Can anyone tell me about the Ancala community in Scottsdale? Is it a safe area? Is it the kind of neighborhood you could walk to things from?

Any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

North Scottsdale is extremely safe. You have no reason to even question your safety in the areas in which you have been house-hunting.

lol.yeah it's safe and nice, but it's a bit out there. There's not really much to walk to unless you're talking schools, playgrounds or the small strip of stores on the Franklin Lloyd Wright/Via Linda intersection. You would be about 10-15 minutes from the 101/shea and more activity.

Yes, Anacala is very safe. It is one of Scottsdale's high end country club communities loaded with amenities.

Can you walk? Yes, you can walk, if you are walking for exercise. Can you walk to the shopping, dining, doctors? Probably not. I think it is a drive just to get to the front gate.

I think you need to spend some time in Scottsdale to better understand the environment here. You seem to be shopping by price, not by location.

Scottsdale has much to offer from semi-urban to very rural. There are high priced homes in many areas. Some close to downtown, some 30 miles from downtown. Unfortunately most of the newer homes are in the more rural areas.

I know of several well known celebrities that have houses in Ancala.

I don't know if they live there full-time, but the fact they bought there says something for the area.
