I live near Roscoe's, Friend's, and Cruisin' on 7th Street---all gay. Went to Fez, and it seemed "kind of gay". George and Dragon is on the Winter Rudeness, Summer Banishment list, Alexi's looked like a graveyard.......
Any suggestions? Anything farther downtown?

Rosie McCaffreys was always pretty decent, although I haven't been there in a number of years - doesn't seem like the type of place that changes much

Several of these are near downtown. I posted this link in the other happy hour thread, as well. Phoenix Best Of Awards

The reason I asked here is because those NT reviews are way too biased. For Central, they say FEZ--I think you need prison tattoos and a nose piercing just to be a customer. For downtown they say District at the Sheraton--3 bucks for a glass--not a pint +tax, and that's hh prices. Wages are at 90s levels, aren't there some beer bars with the same 90s prices? Sheeesh.

Other spots we would go to when I worked in that general area were the Armadillo Grill and Half Moon Sports Bar
