That's what I thought too. Even Bettman said it wasn't an official announcement.

The whole problem with the "arena management fee" is that it is completely arbitrary. No one knows what it actually costs to manage that arena. Glendale needs to put it out for bid to determine what it actually costs instead of just paying a hockey owner a probably inflated fee. A hockey owner who knows diddly or really cares about bringing in other things to fill non hockey days since they are being paid irregardless. A real arena management firm would have contacts with performers, large meetings, conventions, etc. which could fill the arena on non hockey dates, bringing more customers to Westgate and more sales tax revenue to Glendale. I simply don't understand Glendale paying hockey owners to manage the arena. That sure smells like a subsidy to me, while they are giving up more sales tax that a professional management firm would probably bring in.

good news, I still think a casino would do well in the area. It is so close to the Sun Cities.

Sorry for such a dumb question but I called Cox to upgrade my basic cable to something that would carry the yotes games. They don't know what channel the games are on? Would anyone here know? I don't have the HD and likely wont as I'm getting satellite next year. Is it NBC sports?

Ideally I can find tickets without paying scalper prices.

Thank you.
