Ultimately, it's going to happen. The Valley is expanding too quickly and it's going to be a necessity. That being said, it's won't happen for 10-20 years and realistically 20 years.

Why would the tribe NOT want access to a casino complex they just spent several million dollars rebuilding, upgrading and relocating so it would be perfectly located to take advantage of such an alignment?

And extend 48th Street while you're at it.

I believe secretly that the Gila River Reservation wants a freeway to pass their Vee Quiva Casino (off 51st Ave). Otherwise, not really a great idea to build it there. Some tribal members want to see similar development to what the Salt River community did in the Loop 101 corridor. Others just want ADOT to keep Loop 202 on the Pecos Rd alignment.
