Default The Piersons...does anybody know where i can get their music??

I didnt find the song in Raising Arizona that you said was by The Piersons (although i fully agree it is my all-time favorite local film too)
anywho, can u help me local some of their music...when i was 15 (im 33 now) a guy gave me a copy of The Piersons album on a cassette tape. I was kicked out of Xavier the following week(less than 2 months into freshman year) so lost contact w most of the people i had just met including that guy. [mod]language[/mod] I still hear all the songs in my head and all the lyrics to it all, so can u or somebody PLEASE help me find that album!!!thanks,
maureen

My all-time favorite tho has to be "Raising Arizona"

(Side note: The opening sequence features "Pink Dress" by The Piersons, who along with the Gin Blossoms, The Refreshments, and Dead Hot Workshop are absolutely local treasures.)

The song is in "NBT: Never Been Thawed", not "Raising Arizona", sorry for the lack of clarity on my part.

Have you checked out Zia Records? It would surprise me if they didn't at least have a used copy of "Humbucker" or two there.
If you have no luck I can probably part with the 3 Piersons discs I have (Humbucker, Appleberry Wine, and Last Train Down) If I can dig them up.

Edit: Do you remember which Piersons record it was that you owned?

I was on location around 1st or 2nd Ave & Monroe when they filmed the scene of the bus making the left turn going east on Monroe, and was met by a Gauntlet of gun fire from police officers who were on top of a short building, that's no longer there. It was on Memorial Day Sunday in 1977. I stood there for probably about an hour, then they filmed the scene that was about 40 seconds.

It's not Eastwood's best (as a producer), but you gotta give him credit for trying.

The Kingdom wasn't too bad. Jamie Foxx starred in it. I believe it was shot on and around south side Loop 202 and down in Queen Creek.

I used to go to that bowling multiple times a month. Spent many a-night passed out in my car to sleep off the drunkenness. Hey, it's better than driving anywhere! Unfortunately for me, I no longer live down there. Brian, one of their bartenders, is the man! I have nothing but love for that bowling alley.

There was one scene in The Gauntlet that showed the bus travelling on US 60 (east of the Phoenix area), with the Superstition Mountains in the background. For others who are not familiar with Central Arizona, it probably didn't make a difference because it looked like a typical Arizona desert scene, but for us Arizonans, there were some question marks because Ben Shockley (played by Eastwood) and Gus Malley (Played by Sondra Locke), were supposed to drive the bus from Las Vegas to Phoenix, so it didn't make any sense to add about 40 miles to the distance by driving into Phoenix from the east side.

I know a ton of old westerns were filmed in Sedona. It used to be one of the most popular places to film. If I'm not mistaken I think a scene in Wild Hogs with Tim Allen, John Travolta etc was filmed in Arizona. Wasn't the swimming scene Arizona?
