I took time off from Arizona United. Only went to 2 games this past season. The return to Peoria Sports Complex left much to be desired. Long drive, terrible atmosphere and overt hostility PSC had always shown to AZU fans and, more specifically, the supporters.

There could be a lot to look forward to this spring. Rumors of a re-brand (updating the clip art crest is a must) and a possible new home location & the new ownership group with much deeper pockets could lead to good things for professional soccer in Phoenix.

FC Arizona will be playing at Mesa Community College in the NPSL. This will be a good addition for soccer fans in the east valley, especially if Arizona United cannot find a central location to play. They've signed GK Andrew Weber, a fan favorite from the Phoenix FC days.

Should be an exciting off season as things fall into place for both clubs.

I, for one, will be keeping a close eye on this team. Ive already contemplated season tickets, but will most likely hold off for awhile. Id love to see FCAZ to get into the MLS.

These guys are taking things to another level. Having a SSS will be a great stepping stone to bigger things.

Doesn't the USL start at the end of March, only 4 months away? The article states that the stadium is expected to be ready for the 2017 season, that seems like an ambitious schedule. I realize the stadium will only be 5,000 seats and you can build throughout the winter in the Valley, maybe they are going to be building it 24/7?

I assume that the stadium will be expandable to 20,000+ if they ever move up to become an MLS expansion team. It would be nice to see the Tempe street car have a spur up McClintock to the new complex.

I'm guessing they're ready to build hammer and tongs or the rendering displayed is down the road, maybe after the first season. They could easily build a bare bones 5k seater to kick things off. The design definitely has expansion in mind.

Ownership had a presentation today that I was not able to attend but a few folks I know went and they were all very impressed.

We appear to finally have an ownership group that can make things happen. Phoenix FC turned into a disaster because the chief financier didn't have the assets he claimed, Eng had the heart but lacked the extra dough and know how. This group may be able to take it to the next level.
