I just got my first bill from APS today. It was $60 for 17 days. The house is 1485 sq ft and faces North. I keep the thermostat on the recommended temps APS told me to 82 until 7pm. Then for the nightime I put it between 76 to 78. I also run 2 ceiling fans. I'm on the plan that reduces the cost after 7pm and all day on weekends. I actually thought the bill would be more, after hearing people tell me how much they pay. So I'm more than satisfied with this bill anyway, considering how hot it is here.

Ours never hit below $300 on a 2200 sq foot home. Here's the latest one:

Seaflip appears to be the average in their neighborhood. Our house is at the very bottom of the green section in mine. It's great how APS graphs it out for you.

Yeah S Chris Webb, it's nice to see the data and comparison. Im just a little perplexed about the "Hot Water" category since anything connected with water heating in the house is gas based.

Ha! I like how that data completely omitted taxes and fees. Making you believe you actually spent $268 legitimate dollars on friggin cooling.

Sounds accurate for a small house, 17 days of billing and leaving it at a pretty warm 77* at night (I would have issues sleeping at that temp).

Many of those with higher bills (in the $300s), have quite large houses that are around 2500 sq ft, and they leave their AC's around 78* in the day (during on peak).
