Maybe the Trailer Park Boys decided to take a little vaca to the desert?

If somebody is doing something that is bothering me, I talk to them in person and a resolution is most often reached.

It's usually that simple.

Being loud and abrasive is not confined to geographical boundaries.

wow....8 pages. If your neighbors are loud and 'annoying', why not confront them? The end.

If it were only that easy...I've confronted my neighbor more times than I can count about his two dogs he leaves outside 24/7 that bark non-stop for no reason whatsoever other than to hear themselves bark.

All I've gotten for my efforts of being a good neighbor to him and asking that he do something about the barking is a "F You", from him.

Bad neighbors are a pain in the butt and it is even worse when you try hard to be a good neighbor to them. The topic of this thread has more to do with bad neighbors than it does with Canadians. Having dealt with bad neighbors myself I have sympathy for Ponderosa or anyone that is dealing with it themselves.

What a couple of hosers eh? My neighbor thinks he's zinging me by using eh all the time. I don't even notice so it doesn't work.

[Bolded emphasis mine.]

Exactly!

It could go either way, when you speak to neighbors. I do try to use that approach as a first line though. If it is successful, it was a very easy fix.

That's a bummer to hear that you have annoying Canadian/snowbird neighbours. I hope they don't represent the majority of my fellow countrymen here.

I'm a Canadian who brought his family here a couple of months ago thanks to a great new job. We've been pretty quiet and laid back, but then, this is now "home" ... we're not snowbirds just here on a big long extended vacation. I suspect that's the mindset of your annoying neighbours.

Maybe they read this board???
Wait till St Patricks day, that will be their last hurrah. Most will leave the first week of April while the rest will trickle out till the end of May. I agree they can be kind of loud at times. As long as they dont complain about my dog, kids etc. they would be good neighbors.
