Sprouts is fantastic. Lee Lee's asian market also has a large selection of great produce and they have a lot of things you won't find anywhere else, japanese yams and things like that. It smells like fish in there since they have tanks in the back but don't let that scare you off!

There's also a Farmer's Market at the NE corner of Warner/McClintock every Saturday morning!

It's a great farmer's market, but only one produce vendor.

You can go to Farmer's Markets in the Greater Phoenix area almost every day of the week. They are really hopping early in the morning, and a great way to get to know your community. Once you start going regularly to the ones near you, you'll start to recognize people and find some like-minded new friends. Here's the link: Arizona Community Farmers Markets in Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Scottsdale, Tempe, Carefree, Mesa, Peoria, and Glendale

Here's an article for you as well.

We visit the Guadalupe Farmers Market and the produce place in the Mercado as often as we can.

Went to the Sprouts in Chandler the other day during their 3-for-$0.99 red pepper sale thing they were having (maybe that's always the price there, I dunno, but it beats paying two bucks a piece at AJs) and bought six of them, and two of them were moldy. Aside from that, we have no issues with Sprouts and they're the only place we've found that always seems to have purple potatoes.
