My dad is coming in from out of town and I'd like to take him out for a nice drink. Where's the best place in the Valley to grab a drink with a nice view? I'm thinking either a rooftop or a resort. Thanks in advance!

The Jade Bar at the Sanctuary easily - it's attached to the restaurant Elements . Great drinks, definitely not cheap but the view can't be beat, especially if there's a nice sunset. Plus, you can sit outside and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts!

Different Pointe of View at Tapatio Cliffs is also really nice. Phoenician also has some nice views.

I like Rustler's Rooste but think it's more of a fun, kitschy western spot rather than a "nice drink" kind of spot.

If you'll be in the East Valley, the patio at Las Sendas has amazing views: Mesa, East Valley | Dining, Experience | Bogey´s, The Grille, The Patio | Las Sendas

This post pretty much hit everything that immediately came to mind

From the Jade Bar it's easy enough to then make your way over to the patio at El Chorro Lodge which is a good place as well

There is a restaurant on the top floor of the Talking Stick Resort and is an awesome sunset view. I think it's called Orange Sky. Different Pointe of View is another great choice, or J&G at The Phoenician.
