Pizza Bianco is pretty good. I will never go to any of those places listed for just pizza, but good to see the place being recognized.

O its Yahoo finance, must be true since that's where everyone goes to check for pizza rankings.

I see your point. But I have to say Pizzeria Bianco has made many more lists than that one. Honors include a near-perfect Zagat score. The place first reached national attention when Bon Appétit magazine named it as having the best pizza in the entire country. They were also featured in the late, great Gourmet magazine and have been visited by Oprah, Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, Andrew Zimmern, Peter Reinhart, and Guy Fieri, among others. But the icing on the cake was when Chris Bianco became the only pizza maker ever to receive a James Beard Foundation award.

1) Motorino (New York)
2) Frank Pepe's (New Haven, CT)
3) Regina Pizzeria (Boston)
4) flour + water (San Francisco)
5) Pizzeria Bianco (Phoenix)
That's impressive!

I'm one of those people that absolutely hates Chicago-style pizza...and absolutely loves NY-Style. New Haven is right up there with NYC.

So, if phoenix is #5 with a pizza list that includes NYC and New Haven...that means its REALLY good!

Jukes,

Hit the nail on the head!!! Their Bianco aka "white sauce" pizza is amazing and I don't care what the famous people or Magazines say... their pizzas are to die for. BTW, I spent most of my youth in Jersey and know a few things about Pizzas

I really like Rays Pizza on 35th and Union Hills in Phoenix.

Best wings in the valley.
