So you have a separate pump for the water feature so it doesn't have to run every time the pool pump is running and you can turn on the water feature without the pool pump running?

And I promise, you'll have to mess with that canister thing about every two years. It will need a complete gear change. I'm on the third set of gears and my pool is only six years old. The filtered water enters that canister and that is the valve assembly and gears that rotate which popup the water gets delivered to.

Oh, no, the pool pump has to run for the water feature to run. I have a valve actuator that is controlled by the phone app, so when I want the water feature on, I turn on the circuit for that actuator and it turns the valve and then I run the program on the pump for the water feature. The program is set to run at 1600 rpms vs the 2950 that it's set for when the cleaning system is running. Hope that makes sense.

Here are some pictures...

Yeah, that makes sense...you don't have it setup to run the water feature every time the pool cleaning system is running do you? That will play heck with your PH level and cool your pool down and shorten your swim season.

May I ask how long it took you to do your stucco work/how experienced are you in doing this? Much work in prepping the wall or is it pretty much just slapping on the stucco? That's a good deal of work I imagine just mixing up all those bags of the stuff....yikes.

Our outside walled is painted/stuccoed but not the inside wall. We have a good deal of fence and I go back and forth on wanting to stucco it or not as usually I just make a "living" wall with a bunch of screen shrubs, vines, etc. and the wall disappears.

I love these posts, HX. It's going to look so great. The previous owner of my house had our walls stuccoed too and man it makes a huge difference. I think you deserve a break in the very near future!

No, it's actually one or the other the way its set up. If I turn the valve to cleaning, then it shuts off the water going to the feature and vice versa.

Steve, I didn't do the work...had a company out that did it. Took 3 guys about 4 days (5-6 hours per day) and they used a mixer from Home Depot. 60 bags of stucco, 90 lbs each. They did two coats though.

Very good, thanks.

That's a good amount of work for sure. I take the same approach as it sounds like you do these days for those big jobs....write the check!

That's going to look real nice in your backyard....pool weather will be here before we know it.

Your backyard will look very nice. You've done a great job with the design..

However, my concern is with the HOA.

In my experience HOAs monitor the neighborhood fairly close.

I got a bid for $900 to stucco our back wall. Others were cheaper. 180 linear feet by 6 foot tall x 2 coats. IMHO, it's not worth doing it yourself.
