I'm going to be moving to Encanterra Country Club in San Tan Valley. Is there anything around it? Good restaurants? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you drive around the area or are you looking for people's opinions of what is "good" in STV?

You've already bought the house (or the lot) according to another thread. Did you not explore the area before you decided to buy?

It's kind of in the middle of nowhere. There is a grocery store and hospital nearby the back exit though. Encanterra itself is gorgeous, and the amenities offered there are amazing.

Just SE of Encanterra is the Pork Shop. It's been there for a long time, but a lot of people still aren't aware of it. It's not a restaurant, but they do cook up and serve Brat's sometimes.

Their website makes me laugh. ""30 to 40 minutes from most of Phoenix and Scottsdale".... Yes, if a helicopter is involved.

I was just there on Saturday for the Good Life Festival (Huey Lewis and Berlin played). It is a very nice place, but seemed to be in the middle of nowhere to me, and quite a drive from most anywhere in the metro, really.

Definitely not a fan...my Sister in Law used to live out there and brought their brats for a BBQ once. Very "meh".
