posted this in the "Arizona" forum and then realized I probably should have posted it here instead:

The almost Mrs. and I have been having some serious conversations lately about moving to Gilbert, AZ. Unfortunately, the job I have does not exactly transfer down there but her's is a medical and/or therapy job. My question is this, would I be able to find a job down there making good money? I make roughly $40k a year here in Knoxville, TN. The only problem I really run into is the fact that I do not have a college degree, but I managed to land a great 8:30-5:00 m-f job here in town at a reverse distributor in pharmaceuticals. I dont think I will really be able to find a job in this field, problem is, this is all I have done for the last 7 years now. Any help on this at all would be great.

Luckily for you (and your wife), there are a lot of retirees in the Phoenix area, and many hospitals and outpatient care facilities around Gilbert. $40k per year is certainly not unrealistic in this area. What did you do in pharmaceuticals? If it was specific to distribution or sales, you should have no problem using your experience.

Try looking in the Gilbert/Chandler/Mesa area on a job search site. You are sure to see something interesting.

Best hopes to you!

I work in a reverse distributor. Basically inventory products and ship them to manufacturers. Closely related to what a pharmacy tech would do, but I believe on a much larger scale. but thanks for the advice, I will check into that!
