After years of trying, Phoenix has been announced as the location for the 2017 Final Four. With the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl in 2015, the college Football Championship in 2016, and now the Final Four in 2017 we are on the map when it comes to major sports events. Who knows? Maybe the U of A Wildcats will be playing for the title.

Incredible. The state of Arizona at its very best.

I'm glad that our leaders are actively seeking opportunities to put the Valley in the spotlight.

This is quite a big coup for the Valley. I have a feeling we will be receiving more Final Fours than Superbowls because our weather is practically untouchable in late March early April and there is a fairly strong college basketball market in Phoenix due to U of A. Also, we have the type of nightlife that draws big college crowds.

Old news, dude.

Kansas has passed AZ as the dumbest political state. They make AZ look blue.

And to get back on topic - congrats on landing Final Four! Wonder why it took so long? Although I do wonder sometimes why they pick some of the cities for hosts (not PHX though, PHX makes sense).

Absolutely. Phoenix definitely is a win-win for just about any sports activity. In fact, it needs to happen more often for Arizona, in any season - and in the entire southwest in general.
