I'm looking for a martial arts program that is N. of Shea and East of Scottsdale Road. Something that isn't a belt factory and actually makes the kids work for advancement. My son (6 yrs) is on the serious side and does best with a structured environment instead of a wild free for all.

Thanks!

Our kids were in Karate with Young Champions (then called Young Olympians). It took our oldest son 8 years, but he did tested and received a black belt. Other two went as far as brown belt, but unfortunately they just got busy with other things and lost interest. All our kids stayed with the same instructor for the whole time. It was really good and they had fun and made some good friends. Our instructor was very strict but a really great guy. I really miss those days...
