We are generally over 80 most of the year here and over 90 6 months plus. For me it's more that we don't seem to get much of a break here before it's back in extremes. No winter! Someone please tell me these last 2 winters have been abnormal here. I know San Diego has been lacking the last couple years in winter.

I do remember around New Years was quite cold at least.
If you ever experienced REAL COLD for 80 or 90 days straight you would choose the heat. Arizona heat is a walk in the park compared to EXTREME cold climates/\. I'll take +45C over -45C any day. The SUN over complete darkness as well.

Don't forget the 100+ inches of snow.

Let's be real. The majority of cold weather transplants in the Valley didn't come from places with 80-90 straight days of -45C weather. That's -50F. Unless people here are from interior Alaska, the Yukon, Siberia, or a cabin on top of Mount Everest, no one has experienced a winter like that.
