So sad to see people tiring out reference to thugs and gangs. That type of thinking is a pox on society and our state. The rest of us have to shine brighter to overcome this vocal minority.

This appears to be isolated and my thoughts go out to the families and friends of these kids and for the rest of the people who went to work or class today and now have to deal with tough time

Murder rate is more than 5x higher. Imprisonment rate is 831 per 100k inhabitants in AZ vs. 79 per 100k in Germany. Arizona is crime central compared to civilized nations. Sure bad things happened in Germany in the past, the question is why is Arizona so far behind now or rather ahead in criminal behavior? Not only like just exhibited by a 15 year old girl but in general? We have more than 10x as many prisoners here, population adjusted yet 5x as many murders. What's going on here? Don't tell me this is normal?

There is a link that obviously you didn't read. Nevertheless you make assumptions and then cast aspersions.

It's normal for the United States, not just in Arizona. We tend to outpace most of the industrialized world in these areas, especially violent crime.

Talk about "overreacting trying to make more out of it".
