Hello Phoenicians! I'll be joining your ranks very soon and look forward to checking out the local craft beer scene. I'm told that Arizona Wilderness and Fate are the best breweries in the area. What others are worth a visit? What are the best (or your favorite) beers that are brewed there or elsewhere in Arizona? Cheers!

It is worth a drive to Tucson to visit these guys:

Dragoon - Good solid beers, I can't wait til June for the Ojo Blanco beer to come back!

Thunder Canyon - great restaurant too
Local Brewery Tucson | Thunder Canyon Brewery | Now Downtown

And Lake Havasu City has a great one:

How do you list Tucson and miss Barrio?? That's an institution and the Rojo is killer.

Barrio Brewing Co. - Home

The setting is a warehouse on the train tracks, when the train passes you get discounted beers.

Borderlands is on the train tracks as well, I think they said it was a citrus warehouse at one time. Don't know if they discount like that, though.

I have only been to Tucson once, so hitting 3 was a pretty good trip. The 3 I listed distribute to Phoenix. Does Barrio as well?

Another AZ one is Grand Canyon in Williams.

Wow, thanks ElleTea! Nice to know I'll have a good long checklist.

I love a good hefe (Live Oak in Texas is my fave), especially when it's hot, so can't wait to check out SanTan.

If you like a good wheat beer, you would also like Dragoon's Ojo Blanco.

I can talk about beer for days, so if you have any other questions let me know!

Dragoon has a good IPA.

Barrio distributes their Blonde and Rojo. But you have to go there, it's a cool spot.

San Tan, O.H.S.O, and AZ Wilderness are all good ones, IMO.
