What a very nice post.

Thank you as well. You contribute greatly to the local economy and tax base and allow us to enjoy a large amount of our city services.

We're looking forward to your return next winter.

My snowbird renters just left. Nicest people I've met in a long time. I'm almost afraid for next year's visitor (they'll have a tough time living up).
Glad the OP enjoyed.

Oh my, thanks for reminding that summer is just around the corner.

Hibernate mode ON!

This is the best time of the year when snowbirds finally leave, and I can't wait til they are all gone and traffic goes back to normal. Now if we could get rid of the transplants it would be even better.

Glad you enjoyed your stay llsaro! You sound like conscientious people/great neighbors. Look forward to seeing you back in the fall. We met a couple a few years ago who retired very young from Northern Alberta(north of Edmonton) who winter here and we've become very good friends with them. Like your neighbors, we are always happy to keep an eye out on the homes for those who winter here and help out anyway we can.

I think sometimes those who complain about snowbirds forget all of us who travel play the same role of "snowbird" somewhere while on a vacation, even if it's for a week or two. I think sometimes people forget about that aspect.

So do Phoenicians go to Canada for the summer, to restore balance in the universe?
