I always find Lake Pleasant to be on the cool side, even at teh end of summer. You obviously have to go out where the water is deeper, but its refreshing. I always thought it was neat to be swimming there in cool water, then have a current of warm water go past you. Feels good.

NWS has 119 for where I live. At least it won't last too long like the heat waves we get in July when the monsoon goes away but the moisture lingers. By next week it will be a chilly 105.

One word.....KAYAK. I utilize it and good quality ones can be had for under $1000. You get exercise , work up a sweat and enjoy the same scenery as boaters .

Thats what I was telling my son. haha After several days of 112+ degrees, all of a sudden 100 degrees will feel completely nice. Funny, that.

Heatwave? Looks like an early start to our normal summer temps, but then there wouldn't be a need for another heat thread.

Three consecutive days 110+ can be considered a heat wave here, just like 3 days 90+ is used in the Northeast and Great Lakes region
