Hey there everyone!

I have a bit of a unique request.

My grandfather has a very traditional recipe from Morocco that calls for about a half a gallon of well water. According to him, filter water or bottled water just isn't the same. It also cannot be in direct sunlight (again, just following orders here lol)

If anyone has or knows of someone that has a private well I am willing to pay $20 for the half gallon of water since it would mean a lot to him and myself.

Also, I've tried searching the AZ Well Registry but there isn't enough info for someone with my specific/odd needs

Thanks!

You could drive to a stock tank on BLM land lots of them south and north of I-10 around Tonapah you can spot them from the old windmill which pumps water from a well into the tank. I have gone swimming in the tank before years ago they are mostly abandon now built in the 50's from cattle ranching on leased BLM land. They are cool to watch the old watermill pumps water into the tank I don't remember exactly where they are we just drive up on them while out 4 wheeling. That would be a lot of trouble just to get a gallon of water. If you knew exactly where one is might be a fun day trip.

That's a new one.

You'd probably have to exit the largely populated areas in Yavapai, Maricopa, Pinal, Pima and Santa Cruz due to restrictions on well pumping.

Sonoraraised, no offense, but your request makes no sense because your requirements are not specific enough.

There is no "one type" of well water. There are so many factors involved, such as: the depth of the well, the basin or aquifer the well is drawing from, and the well's proximity to contaminants that may pollute the well water.

I recommend you just use plain tap water. It has plenty of minerals in it, as do most well-drawn water sources. To remove the chlorine from the tap water, something like a Brita filter will work fine.

I hope that helps. Good luck with your recipe.

Your on a likely impossible task. "Well water" is not a standard item. Each well is different. Our well provides copious quantitites of ancient water. Hard as a brick. BIL well is not drinkable. Uses only for bathing and flushing. Other wells vary from wondrous to deadly.

I suspect the recipe only works with a narrow range of wells as would be found in a particular local.

If you really want to find one look up the local well drillers and ask a couple of them where you can find access to fresh well water. Note most wells have holding tanks with days worth of water sitting in them...so you need to get at the well itself if you really want fresh well water.

I would recommend pouring a couple of quarts of bottled water into a pail and lying about it.
