Ive never seen so many people come and go in my life! Its ridiculous!

And to the people of NJ moving here? We use trashcans, blinkers, and inside voices in AZ. kthxbye
I did say most of NJ.

And I can assure you, WAY more drivers in NJ use turn signals than do in AZ. I feel like an outsider every time I turn mine on. You're probably thinking of New Yorkers there.

I also use trash cans. The inside voice thing....well.........

Wow! I didn't realize that was a thing. I can't imagine doing that.

I have just opposite issue. Everyone I know is moving here. They come to visit, see how happy I am here and they move here but I am living proof that a person can make the summers here bearable. I have a pool, I have several jet skis and a boat. I am constantly in or near the water so it makes the summers tolerable and they see that so they too have acclimated well.
It's all in how well you want to adapt I suppose although I can certainly see why people would leave here after a few years.

The climate has nothing to do with why I prefer the higher desert of Zona to PHX. Just getting too many people here. The air quality is horrific as the Estrellas to the west and Superstitions to the East look like a smoggy blur more days than not from the 101 driving home to Tempe from Scottsdale. The heat island of 5 plus million has turned monsoon season into non soon season. I like Maverick love the SRP Lakes as a nearby escape. Water still nice and refreshing as they are over 100 ft deep.

Probably not a person alive who has not gone on a 2 week vacation to anyplace and did not quickly proclaim they want to live there.

I wear pants and sweaters in 90 degree 60% NJ summers, I will be ok. I complain the summers here aren't hot enough!

As a former New Jerseyan (for 42 years) myself I can tell you, no matter how hot it gets in AZ it's still better here than living in most of NJ.
I agree, I have researched AZ for 10 years I've been planning to move. The only upside to NJ is they have low crime comparably, but I will deal with it to be somewhere I enjoy. NJ has a short summer and most of it you will be stuck in traffic if you live anywhere near the coast as I do, every weekend is gridlock.

Lol, I hate when the New Yorkers don't use blinkers in NJ. I have a soft voice, the cashier at the Whole Foods in Phoenix couldn't believe we were from NJ! He thought we were locals.

I have vacationed in Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and have not wanted to move to any of those places. I will be doing Maui next, I'm sure I will want to live there, but then will go hmm...cost of living even worse than NJ...
