OMG! Rain. But monsoon is over. How can this be? We need to extend the dates. Let's make it monsoon all year long.

Great watching the low clouds and the rain come roaring across the valley this morning too. I don't know if it's over yet, but we didn't get much here in Central Phoenix so far.

Yeah well if it becomes a perennial monsoon season here, I'll be heading for the high and dry Mojave desert. Barstow CA, Las Vegas, St. George Utah, whatever it takes.

We already have a monsoon season every year, the variable is how many storms and how much rain we get in the Valley. But the fact that it exists is no secret.

What I wanna know is how come not one radio nor news broadcast predicted the rain on Sunday! I even checked the forecast as late as Friday night and there was 0% chance of rain for Sunday. I washed my car on Saturday afternoon and planned a bike ride for Sunday. Frickin BS, man! It rained almost all day on and off in Scottsdale. Bogus!

The NWS had added it to the forecast last minute Saturday night. Btw, it only seemed to affect Phoenix eastward, I was driving back into town from Los Angeles yesterday and even in western Tonopah/Harquahalla area it was sunny and dry, by the time I hit the TA truck stop is where I noticed it getting cloudier cooler and more humid

Agreed. I had hoped to squeeze in one more pool day, but it was cloudy, gloomy, and cool all day. The last I had heard was sunny and low 90s.

It was a great day yesterday...with the exception of the Cards losing. Sat watching the game while the rain came down.
