What's with the drug dealers, tons of ferel stray cats, and terrible noise, from the renters who think they are in a band on hudson way? How is no one complaining ?

Isn't that a new construction community out there on the far east end surrounded by nothing? I didn't even know there were houses there yet let alone cats and drugs

Man, I hope the cats aren't on drugs, too...I'm sure the bands are bad enough without a bunch of caterwauling going on.

It sounds like the OP needs to be the first one to complain. I'd suggest starting with a review of the HOA documents...surely band practice or ambient noise is something that's regulated, everything else probably is. Feral cats may be something the HOA wants to deal with; do they have rules on outdoor pets? Lots of questions to be asked.

For drug use, if you're in the town proper you could contact Gilbert Police; if it's a county island, you'd need to look up Sheriff Joe I believe.

Talk to the HOA and also start a blockwatch, Gilbert PD will actually go to HOA meetings and explain how to start a blockwatch program.

I don't live in Gilbert, but my neighborhood watch in Scottsdale had a couple of our local officers stop by our last annual meeting and talk to us about various things. They even send out emails the watch leader now and then if things are going on in the neighborhood/area. I thought it was pretty cool and really a great way for the police to get to know the people they serve. The concept of "community policing" is an old one but a good one. I am glad to hear Gilbert will send officers out because I found it really helpful in my community.

No, it is very close to Cooper/Baseline Rd. I do quite a bit or real estate work in there, this is the first I have heard of anything like this...

Yes, it is at cooper and baseline.. We've gotten the "dive bar cover band" to stop rehearsing, but there are still the many random cars making their 3 minute stops at all hours of the night, at the other house. Will attend the next HOA mtg. I dont understand how neighbors dont see whats actually going on at the dealer house. Having talked to a couple neighbors, the renter (band rehearsal guy) is the the only one who realizes whats going on over there. A friend of mine came over and saw it within 5 minutes.

Have you called the non-emergency number to the police department to have them check into it? That might be a good first step, and they can step up presence in the area. I'm not sure what the HOA can do about it.
