I've been here for 8 years and even moved somewhere else and came back recently and STILL love the sunny days. I don't hate the clouds but overcast days, especially in the winter (when we get most of them) are not fun. Storms are cool though. I like seeing them in the distance. I'd take May/June weather though over the monsoon

If we actually got any real storms other than raining mud and blowing dust, it might be something to be interested in.

"Hooray for the Rain, Wind & Mud..." (Please sing to the tune or Stars & Stripes Forever)!

C'mon, ElleTea, get with the program!

I prefer not to need to wash my car after every "storm" because the 14 drops of mud that actually fell from the sky have made it a filthy mess, thanks!

If we got REAL thunderstorms here, it might be something to get excited about. it's the one and only weather thing I miss about the Midwest. The "storms" here are a joke in comparison, even the ones where it actually rains (not often). And don't get me started about the after-the-rain stench here!

Our house had a pretty good run last year but even after storms that dropped plenty of rain we still needed to wash any cars that were parked outside. I love watching the lightning storms roll through too, I've managed to get some decent shots from the porch and the top of south mountain.

I don't care what the Weather people say about "Monsoon Season"...it's not here until we have 3 consecutive days of dew points above 55 and the cicadas start going crazy.

This, and I consider the end of the monsoon when two things have both happened. A. 5 straight days with dewpoints below 50, and B. 3 straight days with lows below 75.
