As for something better up here, there's an AJ's at 67th and 101 which is very nice.

And as far as restaurants, the only teppanyaki I'm familiar with on this side of town is at 63rd Ave and Bell Rd, it's decent but I'll take Sapporo in Scottsdale any day. There are quite a few sushi places in the area, I don't know of any that are hiring. JoJo pizza, which was mentioned, is hiring I believe. They run an ad with us and I recall him saying they were looking for people.
Hi!

I live at 39th ave and Happy Valley. We almost bought a home near you right behind the Fry's, but didn't work out.

Did I hear you run an advertising magazine?? Does it come in the mail? I may be in need of some advertising in the near future (that is if I can afford to pay my office rent!). We will have to talk!

Glad you mentioned AJ's as I haven't been there yet and I keep forgetting to go!

I'm sorry, but what is "Basha"? Is it a grocery store? It sounds like a good place to shop. Did someone mention good rib-eyes there? How much a pound usually? We like our meat and potatoes/stuffings.

Yes Bashas is a grocery store. The closest to you is probably going to be at 67th Ave and Deer Valley Rd.

I actually can't stand Bashas' the store and the person. A lot of their stores are gross and not remodelled. Just my opinion!

...but AJ's is also Basha's creation.

You're right about that though, they are usually old and a bit rundown. Same with the Fry's on 67th and Happy Valley, it needs a remodel. The Safeway on 67th and 101 is very nice.

I forgot about that!

Yep, the Fry's could use a remodel, and I'm sure it's in the works. I shopped at Safeway at the 101 a few times, it was nice. I LOVE Arrowhead Ranch! We had another house that we almost bought right there, but chose against it. Now everytime I drive through there I cringe. Don't get me wrong, I really like my house but that neighborhood is to die for!

Are you talking about Deer Valley Rd between 59th and 67th? That area? With all the golf courses and lakes? Yea, I cut through that neighborhood sometimes and it is very nice.

....some day.

I do know what you are talking about with regard to remodelled stores, but all the ones I have been to in the far NW valley have been very nice and clean, especially the one at 67th Ave and Deer Valley that I specifically mentioned, we used that one frequently. As far as Eddie Basha, you can agree or disagree with his politics, but you can't argue that he does a lot for the people of AZ with the profits from his businesses.

Default 67th Ave & Happy Valley Rd.

Just west of I17 there is a great family Italian restaurant called Fiorella's Ristorante (623-561-3200). Great pizza & Italian food. Fiorella is always looking for servers also.
