Is there something going on with the constant helicopters flying overhead? I live north of Scottsdale and you hear the flapping of the wings constantly. I would think with the excessive heat it must be costing someone a lot of money to fuel these machines.

Are they the all black ones without markings at all? What have you done wrong? Are 'they' looking for you?

Helicopters don't have wings and nothing on them "flaps".

Birds have wings which they "flap".
Planes have wings -- with flaps.
Helicopters are... a bit different.

Heat has nothing to do with fuel costs or how much they consume. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

And as others have pointed out, helicopters don't have wings. Certainly ones that don't "flap".

It's usually a crime that has been committed and they are chasing someone down. It happened alot when I lived in N. Phoenix. Is it at night? If so, they are looking for someone.

V22 are just VTOL airplanes with flaps on the wings, yes, but they don't "flap".
