If you could narrow it down to east or west valley, that would be helpful. We live in Goodyear and really enjoy the community, have always felt safe, and were pleased with the schools for our daughter. The Agua Fria/Litchfield Park school district (feeding into Millennium or Verrado) is pretty good. Housing prices in this area range from approximately $275,000 and up. Google images for Goodyear, Litchfield Park, and Verrado for a better understanding of what these communities look like.

With that budget, you have some pretty great options. North Phoenix or North Peoria would give you a nice newer home in that price range feeding into all A rated schools. Check into zip codes 85085, 85083, 85383. Arizona is starting to pop up with more and more Charter school as well so that could give you additional options when looking for one that best fits your families needs.

Incase you want to go east valley, don't go too far east. I would go for zipcode 85284. There are nice upper middle class neighborhood there. Not to far from 2 downtown (Phoenix and Tempe), not far from the airport. Many top-notch schools.

The zip code is the 6th highest in terms of household income in the entire state but the traffic in both 1010 and i10 gets painful in rush hours.

Yep plenty of nice areas and on $2300/mo you can rent a great home - teacher salaries are very low here as compared to other towns so ?? your wife I'm assuming is doing her research if she wants to teach in parochial, private, or public, subject, location. Once this is figured out, you can make sure there is a competitive cheer for your daughter and then the easy part of finding a home.
