Just as an update, we replaced the Trico Flex blade on the driver's side earlier this year in the spring and Trico Neoform on the passenger's side finally bit the dust this month. We got good life out of these blades. Almost got two years out of these blades. Both blades have been replaced by brand new Trico Neoform blades (the Neoform seems to be a better blade than the Flex and you can get them for pretty good prices on Amazon).

My guess is that these blades simply use better quality rubber than the cheap blades.

I have Tricor blades, they last about 5-6 years. Every 6 months I take a paper towel and spray WD-40 on it and clean the blades. It also rejuvenates the rubber the reason they last so long.

Since they tend to dry out quickly in this part of the county, I buy the cheapest ones I can from Autozone.

I'd recommend silicone wiper blades. It lasts longer and doesn't dry up/cracked like the traditional ones. Walmart sells them for less than $20 each.
