Probably never going to happen. If you've lived in Phoenix for more than a couple of decades you'll remember the Paradise Parkway controversy:

Well it's pretty central as far as I'm concerned and fairly easy from that point to get to any part of town than say coming from SE and going to NW or SW going to NE ...

Thanks for the responses and lively discussion!

I lean liberal as I said- but I can live among conservatives. I would not mind a state representative who represents my ideas. I am definitely not moving to Tolleson though. The I-10 is a nightmare.

I have looked at the zip codes suggested (central area near 51) and notice the schools are all over the map in terms of ratings. I need to do my research.
