Looking at renting a house on E Roland St in Mesa. This house is located in the Red Mountain Ranch area. Having read all the bad reviews about Mesa, not entirely sure I would want to live there.

Wondering why its so cheap, 2000 sq ft. house, 3br/2ba, private pool w/ service included for <$1000...whats going on??

Oh yeah, we will be working in downtown phoenix, what would the commute be like?

Appreciate all the comments I can get...

Mesa is a huge city geographically and I'd wager the bad reviews (fair or not) are about the west & central parts of Mesa. Red Mountain is the far north-east. I imagine it's cheap because it's on the absolute outskirts of town. Or maybe the market collapsed on its overzealous investor . . .
